OK, in all honesty this has nothing to do with Christmas. In fact, Christmas has been the last thing on my mind over... Christmas. So where've you been? This time it's education... again. I honestly don't have time to blog anymore (not like I blogged when I did have time, but whatever). But the reason I wanted to post today is because I was hit with a wall of ideas and inspiration in a series of blissful sleeps after the holidays started. Elaborate please.OK, so basically I had this idea for my fictional universe which I created: I'm currently working on the story line of a novel I want to write whenever I have the chance, but it would take a long time to write that and have it finished to a point which I would be happy with. So, I had the idea that in the meantime I could write short episodic stories and publish them to one of my websites. This way I can keep my imagination alive, have fun writing fiction and also still have time to make them a reasonable quality. Keep talking...I already have a story line set up and have been sitting on the characters for a few years now, but I don't know if my writing skills will live up to the expanse of my imagination. This blog is full of rushed posts, so it's not really a good showcase of my authorial aptitude. I'm going to write the first episode and post it online so you can get an idea of what to expect, but I will no doubt improve as I go on. So what are the stories gonna be about? They are set in the 22nd Century of my fictional franchise and will be written in present tense, third person. They will follow a group of agents working for a government supported agency who have to face different challenges and complete missions in each episode. I will also split the stories into seasons. This means I can write individual plots for each episode, but have a bigger underlying plot for the whole season. I won't reveal anymore, so as not to spoil the excitement, but I will say that it will suit people who enjoy action, fantasy, futuristic and sci-fi type stories (although I like to put my own spin on things). So what do you want from me?All I need is for you (the internet) to give me feedback in the form of constructive criticism so I can improve my skills as an author. I will Tweet when I release the first episode and, of course, they will all be open for anyone to read at no charge (the way literature should be). Estimated release date?Nope, sorry. I have no idea when I will release the first episode, but I will shout about it when I do, so you won't miss it. Is it goodbye? For now, yes. So have a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.
